A new find for me! Love this place! So many options for gluten/dairy free foods! Also tons of vitamins/supplements and household items! Can't wait to return again!

Great place supporting healthy eating (organic, vegetarian/ vegan, locally sourced), specialty items (Zingerman's baked goods, etc), deli with healthy options, and other conveniences allowing for one stop shopping.

We make our own medicated rub and get our bee's wax. They have it in pellets and block form--buy by weight on the pellets--the blocks of wax are pre weighed. Lots of other stuff too. I used to buy flaxseed there also--don't eat flaxseed like I used to. Great health food store. Friendly staff and helpful!

Sawall is an impressive health food store. They have a wide variety of specialty foods for the health conscious or those with food sensitivities. The store is laid out and maintained BEAUTIFULLY, and the employees are kind and engaging. There is also a cafe on the second floor, although it is currently closed due to Covid.

If this place we're in my neighborhood and more within my budget, I'd probably do all my shopping here. It's that Goldilocks-just-right blend of big enough to have everything you want without being so big that you get lost. There's so much organic goodness. Plus, they've also got some really legit perks like an in-building bar, plus one of the best restaurants in town, a gelateria, and a bakery. And the staff seems to really love being there and helping their shoppers. They also seem to have come up with a doable way to handle demand for pick-up orders, which is so crucial during this crazy time. I keep seeing people posting about placing grocery orders a day in advance at other stores, only to find the order had been mysteriously cancelled after they've been waiting for it for hours. I'm definitely super grateful for our local grocery stores during this tough time -- they really seem to be doing right by both their staff and their customers.

It has a bunch of options for health junkies and vegans as well. They are pretty expensive but if you can search for good deals, they have some items that are frequently on sale. Tip: 1) When you get croissants from the bakery, do not forget to get them toasted. 2) You do not need a rewards card like other stores to take advantage of sale items.

Huge fan of Sawall. I love their large section of bath, beauty, and supplements. I have some food and chemical sensitivities, and I appreciate their natural and organic products. They have an educated staff who curates that particular area, so anytime you have a question about a certain company or product they are ready with information. I also try to eat sugar-free whenever possible and they have a large selection of natural sugar-free syrups and baking products. I transitioned from stevia to monk fruit last year, because I didn't love the bitter taste it creates. Monk fruit is more comparable to sugar and is great for pancakes, and baking purposes. I also noticed that it's pretty much the same price as it is on Amazon, so I would say you are getting a fair deal. They are also generous about returns if you get a defective product or you are unsatisfied with something. The only thing I would say is to keep your receipt. They won't issue a return without it.

The staff are always smiling and asking if we need help finding anything. The bulk section of spices and nuts, grains, and oats is extensive. I now know where to go when I need my Arborio rice fix! My favorite part of the store is the cheese section. Their vast array of delicious cheeses can mesmerize me for hours. I also found a new way to eat chips with a potato veggie based chip that taste and look remarkably like Pringle's! I love finding healthier options for the bad things I miss eating most and I can definitely do that there. I also really like their homeopathic section! The additions to the store over the past few years have been extensive and wonderful. It certainly makes me miss living in the Oakwood neighborhood!

We visited Sawall's today to grab some ingredients and were starving so we grabbed some food from the cafe. We had tamales, zucchini pancake, and quesadillas. I also had a decaf latte. We were waited on by Grady and he was very nice. He made my coffee perfectly which in my world can make or break my entire day. Our hodgepodge meal was really good. We would have the tamales again. They were spiced perfectly. The pancake had lemon in it (I think) which means I had one bite and then had to ditch it. We ate overlooking the store, which was really nice. The booths were very comfortable and the chairs were surprisingly comfy. That space is really large and we will be back to have pizza. After we ate we did our shopping and checked out with no problems. I still love Sawall's.
